Area Sales Manager, Travel Retail Greater China(Luxury)

Our client is a global luxury brand and they are looking for an Area Manager for the Greater China region. The Area Manager is a multi-faceted role: team manager, business leader, thorough negotiator, and brand advocate. You are responsible for strategic key accounts development (travel retail operators) in the assigned markets, and for maximizing Sell-out in assigned doors to grow market share, ranking, and productivity of each counter in the area. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for the P&L management of the TR Greater China region • Responsible for recruiting and team development • Responsible for protecting Brand Image and driving operational excellence at POS level • Develop the Brand relationship with the retailer securing excellent brand penetration and visibility within a multi-country perimeter • Develop a yearly joint business plan with the retailer to align on strategy, drive sell out leveraging on the brand authority, the product marketing plan, the activation calendar, and the brand agenda • Achieve annual sales targets (sell out & sell in), monitor inventory level, develop and discuss assortment plans with retailers. • Negotiate T&C and manage A&P/ Trade Opex budgets and P&L ensuring the best possible profitability by optimizing and controlling the expenses • Manage accurately Forecasts and T&E • Drive performance and monitor key KPIs of the region and key top doors, through weekly/monthly business reviews. Key Competencies: • Keen interest and good understanding of the Chinese business culture to secure strong partnerships with operators • Strong negotiation skills • A global vision/understanding of the business and ability to build strong on-field actions • Abilities to build good & constructive work relationships among foreign cultures • Abilities to coach, motivate and drive performance of a multi-national sales team. Experience: • 10+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Retail management, and marketing • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work within tight deadlines • Result-driven with strong sense of brand image and P&L • Successful experience within the retail industry is a plus • At ease with a multi-cultural environment to build strong relationships within the area • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation skills • Ability to work with people from various cultural backgrounds • Chinese proficiency in spoken and communication due to the market responsible.
