Job Description - Solution Architect (240641) This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 24 months with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance. Responsibilities Bridge communications between IT and business to ensure alignment of technical solutions to business goals. Interprets and delivers impactful strategic plans improving data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps. Designs the structure and layout of data systems, including databases, warehouses, and lakes. Translates high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards. Designs and implements processes for the ETL process from various sources into the organization’s data systems. Ensure solution architecture finds a balance between company-wide strategic needs and short-term tactical needs. Ensure solution architecture is well integrated holistically and well regarded by stakeholders i.e. lines of business (LOBs), IT development/infrastructure/operations, and ensure compliance with governance processes. Drive the enterprise architecture and roadmap definition, including standards and policies, architecture patterns, reference architectures, target state blueprints, and roadmap for the relevant domain (i.e. data). Work closely and collaborate with other architects to align and co-own the enterprise architecture strategy (for all business and technology domains). Lead analysis of the current IT environment to identify critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Keep abreast of the latest trends in technology, industry, and corresponding business domain, analyze market trends to determine their potential impact on the company architecture landscape. Support and promote the continuous development of AAHK Architecture Practice. Requirements University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines. TOGAF certification is preferred. Minimum 6 years of IT experience with at least 2 years solution architecture experience. Proficient knowledge and working experience in at least one of the domains: infrastructure (including cloud services), data, security, or aviation business. In-depth experience on data governance and data platform is preferred. Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environment. Experience in Agile Architecture / DevOps is an advantage. Being a motivated, self-driven individual and an experienced consultant with IT solution design background. Excellent breadth of thinking, being able to provide pragmatic solutions that consider all relevant constraints whether technical, financial, organizational, risk or capacity based. Understanding of aviation business and processes is an advantage. Excellent command of English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
