Job Title: Regulatory Manager Responsibilities: Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of agreements, with a primary focus on telecom or related services. Advise on legal, finance and business considerations associated with those commercial transactions. Assist in developing and implementing improvements to business processes to support the contracting process and ongoing compliance. Lead contract cycle management through close-out, including contract modifications, compliance with contractual terms. Advise internal clients of company processes, contract status, and make recommendations based on company policies and standards. Interact daily and/or frequently with executive management, business and technical management, functional peer groups. Assist in development and maintenance of various contract and policy forms. Regularly contribute to and refine templates, playbooks, and guidance documents. Support department-wide efforts to organize, manage, and archive contracts and agreement templates. Participate in special projects within the Global Legal Department to develop, implement and enhance processes and policies that improve transaction velocity, efficiency and standardization without material increase in risk. Provide training and counseling to technical management and engineers. Coordinate with other groups within the Global Legal Department on compliance matters. Additional Responsibilities: Conduct regulatory and market research into target markets and recommend entry strategies. Formulate a strategic plan conducive to CMI’s global market development plan. Act as CMI’s primary contact and provide leadership internally and externally on global regulatory matters. Manage and update ongoing compliance records. Participate in public consultations initiated by local governments and regulators, and prepare regulatory submission, compliance, reports. Engage external consultants for expert advice on key country-specific issues where necessary. Provide guidance to teammates or other groups within the Global Legal Department on regulatory affairs. Participate in the ad-hoc assignment if needed. Requirements:4+ years of experience as an attorney and ideally in telecom or related industry / minimum 8 years of regulatory experience with telecom carriers or governmental authorities around the global. Strong planning and project or tasks management capability. Team player who is positive, flexible and enthusiastic, and who displays initiative.
