ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead International Logistics in APAC while managing and developing a team of 3 members. Team members should be developed to back each other during peak and vacations. Develop, build and evolve a team to support the daily operations and ensure the KPIs are reviewed and consistently raised over time. Support the 4PL structure and related meetings by representing International Logistics in APAC. Manage Inbound Transportation for all brands with the team. Team owns inbound transportation for product delivering directly to Hong Kong, Shanghai DCs. Support additional direct inbound transportation to Japan, Korea, and other APAC markets as necessary. Ensure the team tracks purchase orders and shipments from booking to DC delivery. Import document validation, exception management, and error management. Work with Customs brokers team and DC to ensure delivery can be completed timely and accurately. Drive RFQ process to negotiate best rates on ocean and air modes to get capacity at desired service levels. Develop strong partnerships with logistics leaders, vendors, carriers, and 3rd party service providers to help drive best-in-class service to agreed SLAs for the three brands. Drive process and cost improvement by identifying and analyzing the operations as well as approving different modes of transportation for deeper cost impact analysis for each brand. Support S&OE and S&OP team with Inbound Transportation KPIs and performance insights for APAC. Coordinate with the US team to gather MBR cost analysis and shipping metrics for an internal MBR presentation as well as MBR presentation for each region. Manage Origin Cargo Management globally. Lead training of origin factory users in the use of OOCL Logistics MyPodium system to create bookings. Support implementation of shipping manual with factories. Measure compliance to the shipping manual through reporting and KPIs. Develop corrective actions in collaboration with the Production team. 3rd Party service provider (Carriers and NVOCCs) management. Manage exceptions and claims with vendors, carriers, and 3rd party service providers. Work with 3rd party service providers on freight consolidation to maximize load utilization. Coordinate and participate in global logistics meetings as well as support global initiatives. Review and approve payment electronically and manually upon the request from the Brands. Senior Manager will be the backup for all Inbound Transportation and OCM tasks as needed. REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 10 years relevant experience in retail / FMCG industry. At least 5 years experience in directly managing a team of subordinates with a proven track record of developing people and performance management. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Logistics, or related field. Familiarity with FMCG, retail industry, and logistics operations; strong logistics industry networking is highly preferred. Good interpersonal, leadership, people management, and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Strong business acumen, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Good cross-cultural awareness, adaptability, and agility. Need to work with teams globally. Organized, customer-oriented, and detail-minded. Proficient in MS Office applications and good knowledge of ERP systems. Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese in both Cantonese and Mandarin. Effective and insightful presentation skills. Should be able to present operational and financial KPIs by providing clear and valid reasons. Near weekly need to present performance of inbound transportation and vendor performance to senior leaders. Seniority level
