Job Title:
VP (Team Lead), Equities Operations, Vickers Securities (2500002J) Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Key Responsibilities
Supervise the daily operations in trade support, and transaction processing, settlement, handle exceptional/contingency situations and assist with more complex, non-standard exception-based processing or queries. Coordinate a team's work assignments and balance the workload. Propose appropriate operational workflow and system enhancements for enhancing operational efficiency and service standards. Lead or support projects such as proposing appropriate business models, drafting user requirements for systems, providing UAT cases, supervising the team for UAT, and drafting changes in Rules and Operational Procedures. Provide teammates with guidance, career development, and feedback. Participate in system enhancement and process improvement projects. Contribute to the strategic development of various initiatives. Ensure accurate completion of tasks within SLAs. Maintain all risk and compliance standards. Ensure daily operations align with operational procedures and group policies. Requirements
Diploma or University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related disciplines. 12 years above relevant experience within the Banking & Finance industry, preferably with 5 or more years of people management experience. Operational subject matter expertise in lifecycle trade support flow, trade captures and enrichments, trade confirmations, trade reconciliations, and contract notes generation. Well versed in the operation of Omgeo CTM terminal, Bloomberg, and Order Management Systems. Familiar with share placement and IPO processes. Strong sense of ownership and excellent attention to detail. Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proactive approach to identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes. A strong understanding of the control environment and a proactive approach to minimizing operational risk. Ability to improve processes, coordinate multiple tasks, and strong teamwork. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
