Direct message the job poster from WIT Talent Solutions Limited Build and maintain relationships with institutional clients mainly in Hong Kong, including global hedge funds, Long only funds, and pension funds. Provide market research and analysis to clients to help them make informed investment decisions. Stay up to date with market trends, news, and events that could impact the securities being traded. Work closely with other internal teams, such as Equity Research Analysts and Investment Bankers, to provide clients with a comprehensive suite of investment services and solutions. Identify new business opportunities and participate in marketing efforts to promote the firm's equity trading services. Recommend annual and long-range objectives, policies, and plans for equity business in Pan Asia. Direct investment policy to achieve optimum portfolio performance and be responsible for the performance results of the equity sales effort, maximizing revenue generation opportunities by offering value-added services to deepen client relationships and driving new client developments in the Asia region, including but not limited to Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, and Japan. Coordinate sales activities with sales trading, research, and corporate finance business of the Bank, devise strategic programs, and oversee the assertion of related transactions. Distribute the Bank’s research products and equity-related services to institutional investors in the Asia region, including products and resources provided by the Bank’s alliance partners in ASEAN. Facilitate corporate access to investors, including organization and execution of conferences, seminars, NDRs, and bespoke trips. This may involve planning and liaising with local partners in ASEAN. Support the equity research analysts to achieve higher rankings in both client evaluations and external polls, including Institutional Investors’ analyst ranking. Requirements: At least 10 years of experience on equity sales desks (regional equity sales, not just a HK/China specialist) with an existing portfolio of institutional clients and a proven track record to generate revenues from these clients; candidates with less experience will be considered as Director. Solid understanding of financial analysis, accounting, and other general financial knowledge. Demonstrate strong understanding of financial products and markets with proven ability to work in equity sales and trading environment. Bachelor degree in finance, Economics, or a related field. Highly fluent in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin are a plus. SFC Type 1 License is a must-have.
