Founded in 1805 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the Group is represented in 30 offices in financial centres worldwide, currently employing over 5000 people. Pictet has been present in Hong Kong for more than 25 years where it employs around 200 people. This 18-month programme, which comes with a permanent contract, includes on- and off-the-job components, placing the emphasis on teamwork but also exploring each individual's specific skill set, as well as furthering their development and setting specific objectives. As a member of our graduate programme, you will develop your business know-how by working alongside accomplished professionals. Your initial training will be complemented with a professional certification relevant to your area of business (CFA, CIIA, etc.). In addition, our programme will enable you to develop the interpersonal and self-leadership skills you will require in your future career. The programme will provide you with the opportunity to establish an extensive network of peers and experts within Pictet and to meet members of the management, with potential short assignments to our overseas offices.
Your role
You will work alongside and learn from experts in private wealth management and risk and compliance, with the objective of new client acquisition and retention through a broad knowledge of investments, banking, trust services and financial planning. You will also attend various workshops that provide an understanding of the complex, competitive and constantly changing world of private banking. There is also the possibility of rotations to other functions, depending on needs and availabilities. At the end of the programme you will have the requisite skills to become a wealth management professional in our Hong Kong office.
Responsibilities Develop an understanding of Pictet’s offering, policies and guidelines, attending relevant investment forums and presentations. Keep up-to-date on news and market events and understand how they impact our clients. Support the Senior Bankers in business development, account management and clients servicing. Maintain a strong compliance culture, ensuring optimal compliance and risk management by adhering to all relevant local laws, regulatory requirements, in-house directives and procedures. Participate in strategic projects/initiatives as assigned. Reporting to: Market Head, Business Development Your profile
A Master or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Management from a leading university. At least six months' and no more than two years’ experience working in finance or marketing/sales for an international company, or in a multicultural environment. Outstanding analytical and organizational skills with attention to details A strong team player, with excellent communication skills, including writing and presentation skills. Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint. Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong sense of ethics, aligned with Pictet’s values and partnership culture. Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese). Note
