Business Systems Developer (Legal Firm) - IC Client Description UK-based international legal firm Team Structure The Business Systems Team (BST) consists of a Head of Business Systems; five systems analysts; two DBAs, three developers, and a Project Accountant. The team sits independently between IT and Accounts, working closely with both departments with ownership of the firm's key business systems including PMS – Aderant Expert, Reporting & Budgeting, and the Intapp suite of products as well as integrations between all firm systems. The team leads innovations around the utilization of systems, best practices, and develops bespoke solutions to support business needs. Job Description Work on the new PMS project to provide technical solutions for the firm's BI and reporting solutions. Work with Aderant to develop the firm's new reporting data warehouse. Development of the front-end application Spotlight, using the Cognos framework. Development of key transactional reports using SSRS. Assist on support of existing reporting systems such as SSRS, Redwood BI, and Clarity. Demonstrate the Group's values of individuality, commitment, teamwork, and straight talking. Maintain a service-focused attitude and professional manner, appropriate for a commercial law firm. Exhibit confident and clear communication (verbal and written) with people at all levels of the business hierarchy. Respond quickly to requests, manage time effectively, and work under pressure. Use initiative and make suggestions to change processes where required. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Job Requirements ITIL certified. Expert in MS SQL programming including SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS. Proficient in SQL Server and T-SQL (DDL and DML) in constructing tables and normalization techniques on database tables. Expert in creating and using stored procedures, views, and user-defined functions. Previous Professional Services firm experience is preferred. Aderant Expert knowledge is favorable.
