A dynamic creative agency is seeking a highly organized and strategic Visual Content Production Manager to oversee all photography and videography operations for a major client’s on-site studios across the APAC region. This role encompasses a wide range of visual content creation, from product photography and video production to event coverage and editorial shoots. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, energetic, and highly efficient leader with extensive experience in managing complex production schedules and negotiating with external content providers. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a flexible approach to problem-solving. As the Visual Content Production Manager, you will lead a diverse team, including photographers, videographers, image editors, and studio personnel, across multiple locations. Building strong client relationships and working independently in a fast-paced environment will be critical to success. This senior leadership role is based on-site at the client’s studios in Hong Kong and involves reporting to a global business director. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for all photography and videography project requests in the APAC region. Develop and manage detailed shoot production schedules. Collaborate with retouching teams to optimize photography and retouching workflows. Manage and coordinate freelance photographers, videographers, and stylists. Conduct pre-production planning sessions and create comprehensive workflow plans. Develop and manage budgets, track costs, and process invoices. Oversee internal and external team workloads to ensure timely delivery of assets. Maintain and expand a freelance contact database, with a focus on key APAC markets. Cultivate strong relationships with client teams and departments. Develop and enforce shoot and retouching guidelines to maintain consistent quality across all visual content. Coordinate shoot logistics with client operations teams. Provide administrative support, including generating estimates for out-of-scope work. Foster a positive and high-quality studio environment. Act as a liaison between the agency and client design, creative, and project management teams. Required Skills and Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in photography and video production. Proven experience in building and managing successful production teams or studios. Strong visual aesthetic and understanding of high-quality content creation. Excellent time management and deadline-driven approach. Ability to manage a high volume of complex projects and tasks across multiple teams. Strong independent decision-making and strategic thinking skills. Exceptional organizational and communication skills (verbal and written). Comprehensive knowledge of photography and video post-production, including digital file specifications. Ability to identify and implement process improvements. Energetic and enthusiastic with a passion for visual content creation. Experience working in a global team is a plus. Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems and online workflow tools. Experience with studio or resource management tools (e.g., project management software). Proficiency in productivity software (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office). Proactive problem-solving and innovative thinking. Fluency in Cantonese and English, conversational Mandarin.
