Job Description - Senior System Manager - EAMS (Ref: 240000VK) Responsibilities
Lead a team of functional & technical resources and implementation vendors to carry out product development and service delivery to optimise asset management capabilities while attaining the prescribed quality standards within the implementation plan and budget. Plan, organize, direct and take ownership of analysis, design, implementation, deployment, support and/or maintenance of information systems and provide broad operational oversight in area(s) of assignment. Act as a project and service delivery manager, and area lead to assure the deadlines are met by establishing work priorities and managing budget. Engage internal stakeholders at different levels to align solutions to business needs and drive technology innovations. Lead/chair various workshops and meetings including liaising with internal stakeholders, vendors and contractors. Identify and mitigate technical risks & issues throughout the assigned area of work. Oversee system testing and quality control, coordinate problem-solving, conflict resolution, and escalations with systems hardware, software and/or programs. Provide regular progress update to management team of Information Technology Services Department (ITSD) and lead the team to support planned deployments, roadmap items, maintenance and service delivery after implementation. Review, recommend and evaluate in information technology and participate in department budget preparation. Requirements
Degree in Computer Science / Management Information Systems / Software Engineering or a related discipline, preferably with a Master degree. A minimum 12 years’ relevant project experience, of which 7 years should be related to project management and/or package solution’s architect and/or cut-over / deployment management experience. Experience in a broad range of technology domains, preferably with exposure in the asset management domain and in an operating railway environment. Proven track record in implementing large scale transformation projects in large enterprises. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, vendor/contractor management and influencing skills. Good problem-solving and risk management skills with logical and analytical mindset. Good communication skills in both English and Cantonese (Putonghua is an advantage). Remarks
Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms. Occasional business travel is required. Applications
