The appointee will support all aspects of academic activities through teaching, research, and consultancy; contribute to the planning, formulation and implementation of the College and School’s strategic initiatives and development; participate in programme development and validation exercises; take up responsibilities in academic and departmental administration and clinical teaching; guide/facilitate the College in enhancing its visibility and strengthening its local and international connections; take the initiative in promoting good teaching and collaborative research; engage in research and have publication output, in accordance with the workload requirements of the College; perform scholarly activities; increase the publication output and raise the level of consultancies in respective discipline(s); oversee/perform academic activities including academic advising, examination and assessment, student recruitment, committee works, and whole person development activities of students; undertake professional service to external professional body/organization and provide public services to the community. Applicants should: hold a PhD degree/professional doctorate in a relevant discipline (Pathology/Medical Laboratory Science/Laboratory Medicine) with sufficient years of relevant experience in teaching in the tertiary education sector, programme development, and programme leadership; possess a valid practicing certificate for a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (Part I) issued by the Supplementary Medical Professions Council OR be eligible for registration in Hong Kong, with not less than 5 years of clinical experience in a senior capacity; have publications in journals (desirably with international reputation) with high impact in the relevant discipline; possess a good track record as an active researcher. Possession of a strong professional network with local healthcare institutions will be advantageous. Senior Lecturer
Applicants should: hold a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (Pathology/Medical Laboratory Science/Laboratory Medicine) with sufficient years of relevant experience in teaching in the tertiary education sector, or a PhD degree/professional doctorate in a relevant discipline (Pathology/Medical Laboratory Science/Laboratory Medicine) with some relevant experience; possess a valid practicing certificate for a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (Part I/II) issued by the Supplementary Medical Professions Council OR be eligible for registration in Hong Kong. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
