What You'll Do
Acts as the key buyer and subject matter expert for responsible categories, including but not limited to, vendor selection, proposal evaluation, developing and negotiating contract terms & conditions. Additionally, this position manages the contract execution process, resolving problems, mitigating delays, mediating disputes, and escalating issues. Monitor the performance of the agreements and the overall relationships with the vendors. Handling daily procurement duties, executing projects and leading tender exercises and contract development. Provision/Input and execution of mid to long-term strategy. Understanding supply base and market trend. Providing constructive feedback to supplier for future development. Conducting product development and analysis. Collaborating with teams and influencing relevant stakeholders effectively. Initiating and leading projects at both local & group levels; such as market research, benchmarking exercises, information analysis, and contract development. Taking lead in assigned taskforces/working teams for procurement related studies and/or process improvement. What You'll Need
1. Job Requirements & Competencies To lead projects and facilitate the team with high quality of work and implementation of good procurement practices & control. To resolve operation problems, enhance cross team communication and review key supplier performance. To lead the projects or being contract manager for those purchase recommendation & decision with a longer term and higher financial impact to the company and the group. To carry out strategic analysis on data for development of cost saving opportunities and execution of proper risk management. To be actively involved in staff engagement initiatives and process improvement projects. 2. Qualification & Experience Recognized degree in any disciplines, business / management related an advantage. Professional qualification in procurement & supply is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience. Product and market knowledge in related category of purchases is an advantage. Excellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written.
