About the Client Our client is a reputable company that has strong business in Hong Kong and China. With an increasing growth and a vision to diversify their portfolio, they are now seeking a Head of Security Governance & Technology Risk to join their team. About the Role This is a newly established senior leadership position, tasked with assisting the department head in implementing robust and best practices of security governance, risk, and compliance procedures within the Technology department. Key responsibilities include: Upkeep and regular reassessment of risk registers. Collaboration with different business stakeholders to support the planning, execution, and response to audits. Providing best practice guidance for governance in change delivery, ensuring appropriate assurance for major projects and programs, including thorough business cases, and monitoring benefits (including ROI), risks, and issues. Designing, implementing, and continuously improving governance processes with clear oversight and communication in a business-friendly manner. Ensuring alignment with overall strategic objectives. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in either the commercial or financial services sector. Significant background in Information Security, particularly in security operations and governance and risk implementation. Experience managing a Technology Governance function of comparable scale. Experience managing portfolio budgets. Effective communication at senior levels and managing business relationships. Current knowledge of relevant methodologies applicable to both traditional and agile environments, with the ability to compare, contrast, and discuss their applications. Practical experience in large-scale Programme and Project management, including the capacity to describe various change methodologies, their advantages and disadvantages, and their applications. Good command of Chinese and English.
