With a commitment to innovation and creativity, the company seeks a Product Development Manager to lead the development of licensed merchandise inspired by popular intellectual properties (IP). Location:
Preferred based in Hong Kong, but open to candidates in Shenzhen with relevant experience. Responsibilities Oversee the licensing approval process by collaborating with in-house and freelance designers to curate popular IP merchandise and ensure timely approval. Manage the entire development cycle of IP licensing products, from concept to market launch. Provide creative direction throughout product development, ensuring alignment with commercial requirements, market demands, and brand standards. Work closely with designers, production teams, and the licensing department to develop products that meet high-quality standards and resonate with target audiences. Establish product strategies that optimize performance and enhance SKU efficiency. Create and manage project timelines, monitor design progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks. Conduct market data analysis to identify trends and insights that drive product growth and innovation. Qualifications Deep passion for and familiarity with popular anime IP and other major IP markets in Mainland China, Japan, and beyond. Bachelors degree preferred, with a strong background in project management or product development. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IP licensing product development. Experience in product design is a plus. Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage various stakeholders and teams. A creative mindset with an understanding of current IP product trends and market dynamics. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Entrepreneurial spirit with a highly motivated, proactive attitude. Ability to challenge the status quo and drive innovative ideas forward. Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
