Our client is a fast-growing financial firm.
This year, they are moving ahead with their plan to expand into the Mainland China market and open an office/data center there.
Given this, a Solution Architect that can work with vendors and has Mainland China exposure is needed to join their team.
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing the network topology and infrastructure for the new data centre and office setup in China.
Act as a key member of the IT Delivery Working Group, providing regular project updates.
Lead the setup and coordinate with vendors for hardware/software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Oversee the deployment of servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
Manage the data centre operations, maintenance, and security, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with global IT standards and policies.
Collaborate with the Pan Asia IT and China team for execution support and alignment of data centre infrastructure.
Manage partners and vendors for ongoing service delivery.
Provide technical delivery support for infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
Real project experience on core infrastructure build (DC HW/SW, Microsoft).
Role Prerequisites
Proven track record of successfully planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing data centre and server infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge and experience in data centre and server infrastructure technologies, such as virtualization, cloud computing, storage, backup, disaster recovery, networking, security, etc.
Strong knowledge and experience in data centre and server infrastructure vendors, such as Dell/HP/Lenovo, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, etc.
Solid experience in the management of Windows, Linux, MSSQL Server, and knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 is a plus.
Team player with a passion for sharing and learning with wide teams.
Capacity to work with various business stakeholders, including corporate functions and other IT teams, taking ownership of end-to-end project delivery.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English.
Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
