Responsibility: Lead Air Freight product at country level and provide input to and lead the implementation of functional strategy to support the commercial strategy in line with business, objectives, corporate guidelines and policies Formulate current and long-range plans, objectives, policies and procedures to translate overall Air Freight product strategy, shareholder interests and profitability at country level Determine and initiate plans to ensure allocation and reservations of freight on planned linehaul and flights required for hub and operations performance Lead development and implementation of products for various Air Freight customers and products including perishables, pharmaceutical, aviation, etc. Lead development of Air Freight product team’s management plans and budgets, and the achievement of productivity targets at country level Develop Air Freight product business processes to ensure that the customers’ requirements and service, cost and budgetary guidelines are met Set direction for development and maintenance of databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries Build and develop understanding and secure business relationships with customers Review, endorse and approve carrier performance reports Monitor processes and systems to enhance service quality and alignment with company's direction and long-term goals Align and assess recent developments of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development Provide expert and high-level advice on complex issues, benchmark, identify opportunities and introduce best practices for Air Freight product and capacity management focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency Lead procurement strategy at the country level Extensive contact and negotiating with other departments and 3rd parties with conflicting objectives Well communicate and influence key stakeholders effectively, develop strong and trusting cross-functional relationships with senior DHL business leaders Lead multiple teams in Air Freight products team Develop short to long-term (1-5 years) plans for optimizing the organization, function, or job-family and the talent required to company business strategies Seniority level
