Production Merchandiser (Pet Care)
for our
GM Living & Sports team . Job Accountabilities Responsible for merchandising activities including product development, price negotiation, sampling, production, shipment, etc. Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, and internal parties. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and to monitor processes at different stages of the critical path. Identify potential suppliers’ improvement opportunities and govern the improvement plan implementation. Perform sample testing and work closely with the Quality team on product requirements in terms of functionality and safety standards. Maintain merchandising systems to ensure production statuses are accurate. Define the department level plan and prioritization and execute the projects when relevant. Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned. Job Requirements Diploma or above in a relevant field. Minimum 3 years of solid merchandising experience in relevant categories, preferably in a sizable buying office. Familiar with the Australian market with general merchandise & consumable products will be an advantage. Sound knowledge of product, market, and merchandising systems and procedures. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to liaise between buyers and factories. Proven experience to be able to work with overseas buyers independently. Self-motivated, with a strong sense of commitment and able to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin. Proficiency in MS Office and computer knowledge.
