Middle School Physical Education Teacher Assistant To support the PE Department in the teaching and facilitating of swimming, adventure learning, and PE and other duties as assigned by the Teacher Leader or MS Administration. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Assist with the teaching of PE lessons, including swimming and adventure learning. Support PE teachers in the setup and takedown of equipment prior to and at the end of PE lessons. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for PE lessons. Maintain a record of all PE equipment and liaise with the PE Teacher Leader regarding inventory and replacement of equipment, including facilitating minor repairs and replacements. Be available to assist regular faculty in additional programs/activities (e.g. sports days, swim gala, beach days, school trips, etc.). Support MS program needs, including standing duties as assigned. Undertake other duties and functions as required that will impact and strengthen the contributions of the department and overall operations of the school. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education: Secondary School Diploma or equivalent Experience: 2 years Skills: Adventure learning High ropes Rock climbing Water sports Child Protection Statement: At HKIS, each child’s welfare is paramount.
