Our client is an established and reputable international Insurance group with a solid focus in further developing the Asia markets. The Group has diverse businesses across Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Pensions and Asset Management. As part of strategic growth, the group is seeking a high-calibre Partnership Distribution or Distribution Strategy Professional to join the Regional Distribution Strategy Team, based in Hong Kong. The key responsibilities for this position are as follows: Assist the regional leaders in the Partnership Distribution, Distribution Strategy and Deals teams to drive strategic business initiatives and business development opportunities across the Asia region, in particular focusing on Partnerships Distribution. Active involvement in a wide range of business development and strategic initiatives including business performance and analysis, competitors analysis, strategy formulation and execution, product performance analytics, customer insights and penetrations analysis, digital initiatives, new channel / segment analysis within the distribution partners / bank partners. Identify potential partners, assist in partners sourcing and due diligence and work closely with the deals team on deal structuring, transactions and closing. Working with the local countries to review their business updates and performance reports and to ensure alignment to the Group and Regional Distribution strategies and objects. Drive customer-driven initiatives with the various Distribution channels and Product teams to achieve growth and penetration across different customer segments, especially within the Bancassurance partnerships. Work closely with the distribution partners to achieve performance targets, alignment on strategic goals, execution approaches as well as to manage and report on incentive payments for distribution partners. Prepare presentation decks, board papers, management meetings materials and strategic partnerships documentation. Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience: Minimum 15+ years relevant experience in bancassurance transactions, insurance M&A, partnership distribution, distribution strategy, distribution proposition, business strategy, business development, business planning, channel development and management or business management within distribution function gained from the Insurance sector. Experience in Retail Banking, Private Banking or Wealth Management focusing on Bancassurance Partnerships strategy, development, transactions, management or Strategy Consulting focusing on Insurance sector would also be considered. Good understanding of mass market retail distribution models and channels. Regional experience with knowledge of the Asia insurance market. Strong analytical and business presentation skills.
