Key Responsibilities: Provide on-site and remote desktop support for clients, resolving technical issues related to Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Install, configure, and update operating systems, software applications, and security patches. Assist with email, VPN, and cloud services configuration and troubleshooting. Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security policies. Provide guidance and training to users on basic IT functions and best practices. Conduct system upgrades, backups, and data recovery when necessary. Ensure compliance with security protocols, antivirus, and endpoint protection solutions. Document troubleshooting steps and provide detailed reports for each support case. Collaborate with IT teams or vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, IT Support Specialist, or similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows (10, 11, Server), macOS, and Linux environments. Experience troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Active Directory, and cloud-based solutions. Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN troubleshooting). Hands-on experience with hardware repairs, system imaging, and remote desktop tools. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple clients. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or ITIL are a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a freelance or contract-based IT support role. Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote management tools (e.g., Zendesk, TeamViewer, AnyDesk). Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection solutions. Ability to troubleshoot VOIP systems, printers, and mobile devices.
