FOOTWEAR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

THE JOB : Report to Senior Product Development Manager You will manage the daily activity throughout development process from the submission of sketches from studio to the handover of the production, integrating the prototyping phases in conjunction with the design offices and factories. You will be responsible for product development in compliance with stylistic expectations and the quality grade defined by the laboratory house, while respecting schedules and margin objectives. You will work together with different departments (Offer, Studio, Quality, Sourcing, Marketing, Supply Chain) and you will travel from time to time in France and Asia. Collaborate with the HQs offer (merchandising) & studio departments. You will work closely with the shoes manager in EU headquarters, to ensure shoe sampling, bring new innovative shoe products and contribute to commercialize the range. Manage the development of shoes product category, made in Asia, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Work closely with shoes factories to oversee sample development, from concept to production. Create the specifications for the products, publish, and maintain all records, style files, and samples associated with the product and related programs. Participate in product testing and feedback sessions to refine designs and improve functionality. Develop products that meet or exceed predetermined gross margin targets (advising where product efficiency can be made). Partner with quality team for product assurance to ensure the superior quality and timely delivery of sales samples each season. Partner with sourcing team & vendors to select new fabrications and processes that go hand in hand with developing innovative and technically superior products each season. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Higher Diploma or degree holders in Fashion, footwear or related field is preferable 8+ years experience in shoes development Experience in interpreting tech packs and reading 2D files Coming from Sports/Outdoor brands, good knowledge on the footwear category. Strong knowledge of shoe construction, materials & manufacturing processes. Excellent project management skills Sharp communication in English and Chinese Competent with MS Office, PLM and have experience with graphic programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (3D software a bonus) Business trips to Europe & Asia is required ADDITIONAL INFORMATION : 5 days work Annual leave: 15 days 13 months salary + bonus Medical insurance TO APPLY for this job or similar jobs : Please attach your CV with salary expected to resume@jpc.hk
