Manage a team of application system development professionals to perform feasibility study, design, development and implementation of the Company's computer systems as well as to provide production support. Ensure that the deadlines of the projects are met. Evaluate systems effectiveness, undertake management of problem analysis and diagnosis, maintenance and enhancement of the application systems. Assist in reviewing and streamlining the workflow and improving the overall effectiveness of the team. Ensure efficient and effective system development processes are in place and enforce compliance by the team. Provide supervision and guidance of staff and monitor their performance. Manage the budgets and costs of projects and report regularly to the management on progress. Job Requirements
University education in computer science or related discipline. At least 15 years' computing experience, of which 5 years at a project management position in the financial sector, preferably with exposure to mission-critical payment or clearing and settlement systems. Proven experience in project management, business requirement analysis, and application system development and implementation. Hands-on experience in application system development process, design methodologies, and multi-tier application integration in a project manager role. Knowledge of z/OS, COBOL, CICS, open platform, and web-based systems will be an advantage. Good planning, organizing, communication, and interpersonal skills, and able to work under pressure. Fast learner, willing to take initiatives to learn legacy and new businesses. Candidates with less experience would be considered for the position of Project Manager (Application Development).
