provides franchisees located in the Asia/Pacific region with expert-level operational and business analysis. Through effective communication, support and consultation, the DO – FGE APAC promotes the successful and profitable operation of franchised Five Guys businesses and positions their organization for sustained growth. This individual develops a team of Regional and District Managers in the APAC region and manages their day-to-day business activities to achieve maximum productivity. This position successfully fosters productive relationships and communication in all directions (Supervisors, Subordinates, Peers, and Franchisee Constituents) as well as the U. S. based Corporate Support Center staff and the FGE International B.V. offices in the Netherlands. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for overall management of the FGE International Regional and District Managers as well as Trainers in assigned region to achieve maximum productivity. Serves as International Brand Representative for Five Guys and is responsible for driving the successful expansion of the brand into the APAC Region. Responsible for maintaining brand standards at all store operations in the APAC Region. Reviews, influences, guides, and instructs franchisees and joint venture partners regarding store-level operations. Responsible for fiscally sound, telescoping organizational development of the FGEI (and FGOI if assigned) support teams including trainers, RM’s & DM’s and achieving travel budgets. Cascades clear, accurate and timely communications from FGE to the franchisees, training teams, stores, RM’s & DM’s & vendors in assigned territory. Assists franchisees and their teams towards achieving financial success through real estate selection, new store openings, operations, and profit management. Responsible for monitoring, influencing and strengthening franchisee financial health and provides educational opportunities to achieve store count growth targets. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as a liaison (first point of contact) between FGE and the franchisees and joint venture partners in assigned Division. Assists in the establishment and maintenance of support systems, training, materials, supply chain, real estate. Communicates and works with diverse teams to build trust and eliminate barriers to facilitate cultural assimilation and acceptance. Education/Experience: 5+ years of second level multi-unit restaurant management experience or similar scope of responsibilities within a food service organization. Prior Experience with International Organization Operations preferred. 4 Year College Degree preferred. Equivalent business/life experience considered. Language Ability: Excellent verbal and written skills are necessary. The successful candidate will be required to use written, verbal and group communication skills. The ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions and correspondences is necessary. It also requires the ability to read, analyze, create and interpret general business memos and documents. Fluency in English is required; local languages a plus. Math Ability: This position requires excellent business math skills. Requires the ability to work with both Metric and United States Customary Units of measurement. Must be able to understand, produce and analyze P & L statements and strategic level financial reports. Reasoning Ability: The position requires pragmatic analyzing skills and problem-solving abilities. Computer Skills: Exceptional computer skills required in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and other appropriate software. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position requires supervisory responsibilities. Physical Demands: This position may require long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, as well as time spent in restaurants experiencing moderate to loud noises, varying temperature conditions and possible direct exposure to hazardous substances, such as hot oil. May be required to stand for long periods or use a stepladder. There may also be extensive lifting of supplies and materials. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required. Travel will be required 80-90% of the time. Must be able to acquire visas and cross international borders. Special Requirements/Certification: Requires living in the APAC Region, Sydney Australia, or Hong Kong.
