Asia Wealth Management (AWM) Data Analytics
The Business Analytics team is responsible for hands-on execution and delivery of business data insight priorities and strategy. We are looking for a motivated and self-driven individual with an analytical mindset who can bring relevant fresh ideas and concepts to the table; put that creativity into practice; and ultimately be able to articulate analytical findings to a wider audience and drive the strategy for business insights using a variety of relevant analytics and modelling techniques. Being a strong collaborative team player is a must and having a solid understanding of the wider private wealth management industry is very strongly desired.
Main Responsibilities
Help create and execute on AWM Business Analytics strategy.
Employ Big Data, ML, AI, and other analytical concepts (where available) to flesh out deep business insights, across fraud analytics for both early risk indication and AML detection themes as well as marketing and revenue generation initiatives.
Engage and understand business and stakeholder needs and proactively propose data driven solutions.
Innovate and build quick prototypes to display value as proof of concepts and then scale to production for business to execute for decision making.
Develop advanced and scalable data visualization / BI reporting framework as the business grows its footprint and data becomes more central to its evolution.
Ensure that all Data analytics and mining activities use trusted data that is fit for purpose and is contained to relevant parties only; i.e. a strong ongoing conviction in Data Governance. Partner with the data management team as a trusted partner, aiding in the strategic (cloud-based) data repository development.
Required Experience
A candidate with a Bachelor’s/master’s in computer science, finance, or business analytics.
3-5 years’ experience in building data analytics models within the Private Wealth Management domain is preferable.
Entrepreneurial/creative self-starter mindset, along with a passion for data inquisition is key to succeeding in this role.
Able to build insights based on the data to drive business strategies independently.
Proven experience with hands-on data analytics and some exposure to data engineering work.
Able to present and articulate clear “easy-to-understand” insights for senior stakeholders.
Experience with data visualization packages – especially Power BI.
Possess a strong ability to query and manipulate data sets across multiple platforms and sources (across structured and unstructured data forms).
Knowledge of cloud-based technologies Snowflake is an advantage.
Strong communicator, with clear articulation of analytical findings through presentations to propose evidence-based conclusions and actionable insights.
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience or awareness in the private wealth management industry is desired.
Strong knowledge of NLP, Transformer models, LSTM, K-Means, Random/Isolation Forest, Gradient Boosting models, SQL, ML, and Python.
