The Job

• Product Design & Innovation: Design and develop performance footwear (running, racquet sports, and more), high-performance apparel, and sporting equipment such as bags, balls, and racquets. 
• Concept Development: Create trend-driven, athlete-focused designs that combine innovation, performance and aesthetics. 
• Research & Trend Forecasting: Stay ahead of global trends in sports, fashion, and material innovation to inspire fresh and relevant product concepts. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, material specialists, and marketing teams to ensure designs meet performance, durability, and brand identity standards. 
• Prototyping & Testing: Oversee prototype development and collaborate with testing teams to refine products based on performance, comfort, and durability feedback. 
• Consumer Insights: Translate athlete and consumer feedback into actionable design improvements, ensuring our products meet the evolving needs of sports enthusiasts. 
• Sustainability & Material Innovation: Incorporate sustainable design principles and explore eco-friendly materials to align with the brand’s commitment to responsible production. 
• Presentation & Storytelling: Effectively communicate design concepts through sketches, renderings, mood boards, and technical drawings, presenting ideas to stakeholders with a compelling narrative. 

The Profile

Requirements: 

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field. 
• Experience:  
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in performance footwear, apparel, and sporting goods design. 
• Proven experience working with top global sports brands or leading design firms in the industry. 
• Technical Skills:  
• Adobe Illustrator Expertise: Advanced proficiency in technical sketching and design execution. 
• Design Software Proficiency: Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Rhino, SolidWorks, CLO3D, or other 3D design tools. 
• Technical Sketching & Drafting: Ability to develop precise and professional technical drawings. 
• Deep understanding of materials, construction techniques, and performance-driven design principles. 
• Creativity & Innovation: Ability to generate groundbreaking design concepts while balancing functionality and aesthetics. 
• Sports & Fashion Passion: A natural passion for sports and fashion, with an intuitive understanding of athlete needs and style trends. 
• Communication: Strong English verbal and writing skills.  
• Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to tackling design challenges and improving product performance. 
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to product execution, from sketch to finished product.
