Hang Seng’s Marketing function is responsible for formulating marketing strategies and implementing marketing initiatives to reinforce the brand of Hang Seng Bank, drive acquisition and usage of the Bank's product and services, strengthen customer loyalty to build long term relationships, and provide internal business units with marketing support to deliver a comprehensive suite of products and services offered by the Bank.
We are currently seeking a high caliber marketing professional to join us as Head of Card and Unsecured Lending Marketing.
Principal responsibilities
- Develop differentiated marketing propositions for the card and unsecured loans to align with overall Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) business objectives, while considering the competitive landscape and consumer insights.
- Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to enhance the profitability of our Card Business by acquiring new customers and encouraging card usage through a variety of marketing activities.
- Drive profitable growth in our unsecured loan segment through targeted marketing approaches.
- Facilitate seamless collaboration with the Business Unit to establish and achieve shared business goals while driving marketing synergy across various teams.
- Identify opportunities for creating added value and synergy with other business and functions within the bank.
- Serve as the primary liaison for building relationships with external partners, cultivating collaborative and mutually beneficial marketing partnerships to achieve Card and Unsecured Lending business objectives.
- Responsible for providing clear strategic direction and guidance while ensuring synergy across the entire team, including Card Usage and Acquisition for Card and Loans.
- Foster Group's Corporate Values (value difference, succeed together, take responsibility and get it done spirit) within the team, identifying potential talents for development and driving staff engagement.
- Oversee the efficient implementation of marketing activities by promoting accountability and identifying opportunities for synergy and optimization. Provide input into the performance management of direct reports and clearly communicate performance expectations within the team, while maintaining a stable pool of talented individuals.
- Ensure adherence to HSBC policies and procedures to maintain operational, financial, and project management compliance, while minimizing risk exposure. Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of marketing policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead the team in reviewing work processes to enhance efficiency, develop recommendations for improvements based on best practices, and contribute to the establishment of a marketing management information framework that supports effective business decision-making.
- Oversee operating expenses and the marketing budget by developing an annual budget plan that aligns with the overall marketing strategy. Generate reports to track KPIs for marketing activities and communicate the results to key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 4 years of proven people management experience.
- Experience in the financial services is preferred.
- A deep commitment to customer-centricity, driving all strategic thinking and implementation with the customer in mind.
- Extensive experience in consumer marketing at a management level, ideally with brand market experience.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to think hypothetically and make sound judgements.
- Experienced team leader with strong team player qualities, able to thrive in diverse cultures and across departments. Proven excellence in stakeholder management and relationship building.
- Skilled in project management, leveraging resources effectively to maximize value.
- Proven ability to self-start with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment.
- Innovative thinker, capable of shaping and communicating new concepts effectively.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
