Key Responsibilities : Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive risk management strategies for crypto derivatives, including futures, options, and other leveraged financial instruments. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to liquidity, market volatility, counterparty risk, and regulatory challenges within the crypto derivatives markets. Provide in-depth risk analysis and reporting, including tracking risk exposures, breach monitoring, and ensuring compliance with predefined risk limits. Work closely with the trading teams to address any risk breaches and proactively suggest mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution within the defined risk framework. Continuously monitor market conditions and identify emerging risks, advising trading teams on potential exposures and effective risk control methods. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, legal, and technology, to implement industry best practices and enhance the firm’s risk control systems. Ensure that risk parameters and trading limits for crypto derivatives are optimized, balancing competitiveness with the need for strict risk management. Analyze the impact of market volatility, leverage effects, and derivatives pricing models on the firm’s risk exposure, adjusting strategies as necessary. Stay abreast of regulatory developments in the crypto and digital asset space to ensure compliance and adjust risk management strategies accordingly. Key Requirements : Strong background in risk management, specifically in crypto derivatives trading (futures, options, and leveraged instruments). Deep understanding of cryptocurrency markets, trading dynamics, and risk factors such as liquidity, volatility, and pricing deviations. Proven experience in managing counterparty risk and executing strategies for risk mitigation in a fast-paced trading environment. Familiarity with evolving global regulatory requirements in the digital asset space. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex data and make informed risk decisions. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and advise stakeholders on risk-related matters.
