(Principal) Manager, IT Audit - Insurance
My client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Audit Specialist to join their regional office. The successful candidate will play a critical role in assessing and enhancing our IT systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the overall risk management strategy of the organization. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive IT audits of systems, processes, and controls to evaluate their effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify IT risks and recommend improvements to mitigate these risks. Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations for management. Participate in the development and implementation of IT audit plans and strategies. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting IT audit functions. Assist in the development of audit programs, test plans, and procedures. Provide support during external audits and regulatory examinations. Conduct follow-up reviews to ensure implementation of audit recommendations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or equivalent are highly preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT auditing, risk management, or related fields, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector. Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks. Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance industry. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
