Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

The Market Development Manager position will be a role focusing on pre-market development activities with an emphasis on the pulmonology field, specifically the biopsy modalities of small peripheral lung lesions. The individual will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with KOL’s & key stakeholders in the thoracic surgery and pulmonology specialties. This individual will engage and manage the customer through the pre-commercial phase into the full commercialization of the product portfolio. The role will also consist of building accurate organizational knowledge around this new specialty for future innovations. The individual will need to translate learnings from field interactions to help internal organizational departments understand impact and resources needed to support the launch and sustainable utilization of the expanding portfolio. The person in this role must have the ability to demonstrate strong leadership qualities in a dynamic environment of building physician and executive stakeholder interest. The individual must be a collaborative leader working with global marketing, commercial leadership, product management and clinical engineering teams.

 

 Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare APAC country opportunities for product portfolio introduction by establishing relationships with physicians, hospital executives and specialty specific society leadership
  • Build organizational knowledge around the interventional pulmonology, interventional radiology, & thoracic surgery specialties, with a focus the biopsy and treatment of small peripheral lung lesions:
    • Patient journey from 1st visit through treatment
    • Various imaging technology and medical devices utilized
    • Incentives and barriers within the care pathways
    • Identification of key stakeholders throughout evaluation process & financial/clinical value points
  • Gain market insights on how lung cancer screening and incidental nodule programs are being implemented in different hospital segments
  • Prepare strategies focused on clinical and economic data that will support the adoption of new technologies
  • Understand how ROI is calculated for key financial hospital stakeholders within navigational bronchoscopy procedures and other competitive modalities
  • Interact and communicate on a regular basis with regional and global commercial leadership
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

  • 5+ years of experience in the medical device industry
  • Medical device sales, sales management and marketing
  • China and Asia Pacific travel to include other international trips as needed
  • Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills
  • Proven track record of working effectively across regions, cultures, and with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in a global environment, understanding Asian market specifics
  • Understands and has experiences in dynamics of early product and procedure adoption curves
  • Ability to present and clearly articulate business plans to organizational stakeholders and leadership
  • Microsoft Office expertise
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required
