Assistant Sustainability Manager (ESG Strategy & Reporting)Position Summary The Assistant Sustainability Manager assists the Sustainability Manager in carrying out tasks assigned to the ESG Strategy & Reporting Section. These include supporting materiality assessments, preparing the annual Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, and assisting in the annual policy review. The Assistant Sustainability Manager also helps enhance the Group’s oversight of sustainability efforts. Responsibilities Assist the Sustainability Manager in working with the Bank’s ESG consultants on ESG report-related exercises, e.g. strategy development, goal-setting, materiality assessments, internal/external stakeholder engagement, and design and translation for the ESG Report. Support the preparation of presentations, minutes, etc. for ESG governance meetings. Strengthen internal and external ESG communication by contributing to the development of communication and training material for Group staff, engaging with staff members on ESG efforts via various channels and platforms, such as the company intranet. Help align sustainability efforts across the Group by managing the Sustainability Champions programme. Support group-wide efforts in promoting financial literacy. Analyse ESG gaps through stakeholder engagement, ESG reporting, and disclosure exercises, address transparency gaps through improved disclosure, and work with relevant teams to improve performance gaps. Monitor emerging regulation and initiatives in the sustainability field to ensure that the Group stays updated on new developments. Maintain relationships with internal and external parties including ESG consultants, ESG ratings agency representatives, non-governmental organisations, sustainability practitioners, etc. Requirements Degree holder in sustainability, environmental management, business management or other related field.3-5 years working experience in a sizable organisation. Solid experience in sustainability reporting and familiarity with sustainability reporting standards and ESG ratings. Proactive, self-motivated, well-organised, adaptive, and capable of managing multiple projects under tight schedules with a strong sense of responsibility. Strong analytical, interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills. Attention to detail and passion for driving corporate sustainability. Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese including Cantonese and Putonghua. Candidates with more experience can be considered for the Manager position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
