Hong Kong The Role: We are looking for a Backend / Research Engineer to join our innovative team, focusing on developing and enhancing tooling for our high-performance data indexing and visualization platform. Your primary responsibility will be to innovate and implement tools that support our backend systems. In this role, you will: Design and develop tools that enhance the efficiency of our data backend systems. Research and prototype new methodologies for data extraction and processing. Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate new tooling solutions into existing systems. Optimize existing tools for performance, scalability, and ease of use. Document and share knowledge to help maintain and evolve our tooling ecosystem. Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality implementations. You might thrive in this role if you have: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.2+ years of experience in backend development or system tooling. Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in Rust being advantageous. Experience with version control systems, CI/CD practices, and container technologies like Docker.
