The Business Development Representative is a critical component of the sales process and is responsible for building awareness and generating buying demand for our online and advisory-based Governance and Sustainability software solution. Joining a growing business in an expanding market - strong performers will have rapid opportunities for advancement and the skills you’ll develop here will be externally marketable. Work directly with executives ranging from startups to Mega Cap companies to help them drive value by enhancing their financial measurement process. Interact with top consulting firms to provide solutions that enable them to support their critical client engagements. Formal on-boarding and training process that helps you build a foundation for success. Competitive compensation package. Responsibilities Own and manage client inquiries. Articulate the firm’s value proposition to decision-makers to aid in both new business acquisition & client retention. Conduct regular, proactive outreach calls with prospects. Follow up on inbound client lead activity (website inquiries, webinar registration, etc.). Identify and communicate up-sell opportunities to sales team to assist in closing new business. Partner with senior sales executives to hand off qualified leads and facilitate continued development of opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, related study or equivalent experience. At least 3-5 years of sales and business development experience, preferably with background selling software and/or advisory services to listed companies in APAC. Fluent in Mandarin and English. Additional Asian Language is a big plus. Ability to understand and successfully promote technical offerings and solutions. Superior analytical, verbal and written skills. Able to work independently or as part of a team. One year of experience with Salesforce.com or other CRMs. Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives at prospect firms.
