Purpose of the Job
The Senior Merchandiser is responsible for assisting the Merchandising Manager in sourcing profitable merchandise in assigned categories & sub-categories. This role contributes to maximizing sales and ensuring the merchandise aligns with the company’s business goals and consumer expectations. Responsibilities
Identify and source merchandise of assigned category and sub-category to maximize sales. Propose and implement replenishment and allocation plans to maintain optimal stock levels while maximizing sales. Prepare reports and recommendations for the Merchandising Manager to develop, implement, and monitor promotional and merchandising programs. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive factors, and customer preferences. Act as the focal point to provide category updates for all internal stakeholders, including the operation team, marketing team, E-commerce team, etc. Coordinate with overseas suppliers and the supply chain team and Jebsen Logistics to ensure on-time shipment and delivery. Handle ad-hoc projects and marketing duties as assigned. Requirements
Higher Diploma with 4 - 5 years of retail merchandising experience. Experience in the pet industry will be an advantage; experienced candidates will be considered as Assistant Category Manager. Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and negotiation skills. Good communication skills and good command of English and Chinese. Experience in ERP and OMS; experience in Oracle will be an advantage. Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. SUCCESS BREEDS SUCCESS.
