Our Investment Bank client is looking for an Infrastructure Operations Manager joining their regional infra team to manage core infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Maintain thorough documentation regarding configurations, operations, and troubleshooting methods. Develop and deliver SLA management reports for management review. Identify and execute operational improvement strategies within relevant infrastructure domains. Install, configure, and oversee Linux/Unix servers. Conduct regular system updates and manage patches. Monitor system performance to ensure high availability. Enforce and uphold security best practices. Carry out regular security audits and vulnerability evaluations. Manage firewall settings and network security configurations. Identify and resolve hardware and software problems. Offer technical support to both internal and external users. Create and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages. Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Set up and manage network services including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and NFS. Ensure adequate network connectivity and address network issues. Implement and oversee backup solutions. Formulate and test disaster recovery plans. Collaborate closely with other IT team members, developers, and stakeholders. Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when necessary. Key Requirements: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Experience:
At least 7 years in Linux/Unix systems administration (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Solaris). and 3 years in infrastructure operations management. Strong understanding of shell scripting and automation tools. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM). Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus. Certifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+) are advantageous. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in the Financial Services Industry (FSI) or banking sector is a plus.
