Senior Business Development Manager - Connectivity
Our client is a global provider of IP networking and scalable connectivity to the global financial community. They have a neutral platform that provides access to pre-trade, trade, and post-trade applications across the straight-through processing (STP) chain. In this newly created role, you will be the primary business contact for all financial institutions in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China. You will manage a portfolio of existing accounts and actively source, qualify, and sell to new clients. Responsibilities Deliver new sales and revenue growth on named customer accounts Hunt new customer accounts within the Greater China financial markets ecosystem Establish, develop, and own key customer relationships and customer contact strategy Manage the entire sales process (from standard product to complex multi-product deals) for new business sales and expansion of existing business Collaborate with, and provide leadership to, colleagues across the organization Report & forecast accurately on sales pipeline, revenue, and profit Develop account plans that support corporate growth strategies, working with global account owners elsewhere to achieve this Generate account revenue and gross margin per account by driving strong customer relationships, account planning, and negotiating new deals Requirements Native English language skills preferred; Chinese not required 5+ years of proven success selling to professional institutions Self-starter who is able to develop a pipeline of qualified sales leads from scratch Willingness and interest to attend trade shows and industry networking events Excellent selling and negotiation skills Competencies in building value propositions and positioning strong proposals Comfort presenting and selling to senior management stakeholders including “C” level Ability to walk-the-talk on the trading floor with traders, brokers, compliance, and IT Lead present complex and large deals internally at win business process Seniority level
