The Business Development Officer (Trust Services) is responsible for processing new business cases from the initial proposal stage through to compliance, business acceptance, and trust establishment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the Business Development Directors and prepare proposals and letters of engagement for new business cases.
Prepare external sales presentations as required, including the preparation of pitch and key onboarding documents.
Maintain and update Microsoft Dynamics 365 with all new, won, and lost Opportunities, including product information and referrals.
Liaise with directors and senior management in relation to business development and onboarding activities.
Ensure new clients are informed of due diligence and other new client acceptance requirements.
Monitor incoming funds for new business cases and record receipt.
Co-ordinate and attend external sales meetings with existing and new contacts.
Ensure the smooth and efficient onboarding of new clients and adherence with client acceptance procedures.
Liaise with the corporate services team, other departments, and offices, as required.
Process new business cases through to compliance and new business acceptance.
Ensure the accurate establishment of new trusts and companies and the transfer-in of existing trust and company appointments.
Ensure the smooth handover of new business to the client services team.
Follow compliance guidelines and ensure service standards and policies and procedures are adhered to.
Observe and comply with our internal policies and procedures.
Assist senior management with any ad hoc duties or projects as may be required from time to time.
Skills and Competencies:
Recognised university or relevant professional qualification.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua, verbally and in writing.
Excellent attention to detail.
Experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Dynamics 365, and Viewpoint, or ability and commitment to gain such expertise.
Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn, with a positive attitude, self-motivated, and a team player.
