Hong Kong Job Description
The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) is a flagship Chinese medicine (CM) institution leading the development of CM including Chinese medicines (CMs) in Hong Kong. The CMHHK adopts a public-private partnership model. The HKSAR Government has financed the construction and selected the Hong Kong Baptist University as the contractor to incorporate the HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited as the operator to manage, operate and maintain the CMHHK. The CMHHK is targeted to commence hospital services by phases at the end of 2025. The CMHHK aims to offer comprehensive CM care, ranging from primary, secondary to tertiary services, and promote advanced and specialised CM services. The CMHHK will pioneer integrated Chinese-western medicine (ICWM) services to cater to different patient needs. Inpatient, day-patient, and outpatient treatments and also community services will be offered by the CMHHK. Both Government-subsidised services and add-on market-oriented services will be provided to ensure accessibility and to meet the diverse healthcare needs of the community. With a view to prioritising education, training, innovation and research, including collaboration with local and overseas universities to advance evidence-based clinical research and develop CM theories and clinical applications, the CMHHK is now looking for the following talent to join our team. Senior Hospital Foreman (23241280) Responsibilities: Report to Head of Support Services and be responsible for the following duties: Supervise business support services including housekeeping, domestic and transportation services, waste management, fire safety, security services, carpark management, landscape and gardening, pest control, staff changing room, staff accommodations services, emergency preparedness, inventory control, procurement, store management and other supporting services; Liaise with other user departments and service contractors in provision of services and monitoring of service quality and performance; Assist seniors to monitor and review performance of various outsourced service providers; Handle staff issues including:
Prepare staff duty roster Plan and maintain staff record Staff discipline and performance monitoring Staff orientation and training
Assist supervisors in preparation of guideline, standard of procedure and work instruction; Train and develop supporting staff; Prepare service/ management reports; Manage the operation of hospital equipment systems related with supporting services such as Automated Medical Robots; Assist supervisors in conducting investigation and carrying out follow up actions of feedback/ compliant/ incident and prepare investigation report; Perform shift duties and report duty during adverse weather such as typhoon, black rainstorm signal and other emergencies; May be required to work overtime; and Any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Requirements: At least 2 years' working experience in supervisory or management level in supporting services/ facility management and preferably post-secondary education or above; Familiar with operations of supporting services/ security; Experience in compiling report and knowledge in computer usage; Good command of Chinese and English and able to write Chinese and English; Responsible, self-initiative and independent; Good supervisory skill with problem-solving and decision-making abilities; Able to be a team player with leadership; and Able to handle multi-tasks with great flexibility/ adaptability. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in December 2025. Subject to performance and the decision of the CMHHK, the offer of further appointment, if any, will be made by the CMHHK. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test. Kowloon Tong Campus and will be moved to The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong in Tseung Kwan O when close to commissioning. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
