Commercial Banking – Wholesale Client Coverage
Hang Seng’s Commercial Banking business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies.
For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services. As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Real Estate Finance.
Principal responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of commercial real estate and hotel finance transactions and related risk monitoring
- Assist the Country Head of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) in developing and implementing the CRE strategy to achieve business result aligning to the overall Bank strategies
- Solicit business and lead the CRE Product Team to Work closely with Relationship Management Teams to support their marketing efforts and drive business pipeline
- Lead in negotiations, discussions and pitches with clients, and support business counterparts as well as sponsors to manage complex transaction processes
- Keep abreast of trends and developments of commercial real estate and hotel financing markets in Greater China, and align business strategy to enhance/maintain the Bank’s market share/positioning
- University degree holders, preferably in Banking, Finance, Commerce, Real Estate or related disciplines
- Minimum 8-year relevant working experience in Banking/Finance/Syndicated Loan/Structured Finance industry with solid client facing and relationship building experience
- Seasoned product specialists with hands-on experience in business origination, structuring, identification & execution for local / cross-border loan transactions arranged in syndicated / club / bilateral format
- Sound knowledge of the Group and the bank products, and a strong network of contacts across all business areas
- Full professional proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese including but not limited to Mandarin
- Open to change with ability to influence, engage and lead positively and in an inspiring manner;
- Fast learner, outgoing, passionate, well organized with ability to work independently and to work with different internal and/or external parties to deliver constructive business results
- High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers
