Our client, one of the leading Investment Banks in Hong Kong, are actively seeking a strong QA Engineer to join their team and assist with the testing & quality assurance as the firm continues to enhance, roll out and deliver their trading platforms for the Equities markets across Asia.
The Role:
Work closely with the team & SMEs to understand and verify business requirements, functional- and non-functional specifications.
Hands-on design & execution of test cases, as well as functional- and non-functional testing for the trading applications, order management systems, DMA etc.
Assist and help the QA Team with pre-release testing & estimation (evaluating and communicating the risks to the QA Manager, colleagues and project stakeholders).
Help drive the adoption of best practices, principles and ongoing improvement of the bank's existing Quality Assurance / processes / practices.
What You Offer:
At least 2 to 3+ years of hands-on, technical experience managing QA and UAT test environments for global (or regional) projects & organisations.
Manual and functional / non-functional black box testing (any test automation experience would be a plus).
Excellent communication skills in English.
Written & spoken Chinese (Cantonese) is also a plus.
Prior experience in Banking and Financial Service e.g.
front office trading applications, cash / electronic trading applications, FIX protocol a definite advantage (not a must).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related).
A strong work ethic, self driven and - with suitable guidance - capable of learning also highly desired.
