We are looking for
Electronic Engineers
and
Product Engineers
(Senior roles available) to drive the development of our hardware IoT solutions. The ideal candidates will design, develop, and optimize IoT sensors and related devices, integrating 3D modeling, electronics design, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
This role will contribute to LeafIoT's mission to develop smarter solutions for urban forestry and environmental conservation. Key Responsibilities
Hardware Development:
Design and develop IoT hardware sensors, including circuit design, PCB layout, and sensor integration.
Prototyping and Testing:
Create and refine prototypes, conduct rigorous testing, and validate designs to ensure reliability and performance.
3D Modeling:
Develop 3D models for sensor enclosures and hardware components, optimizing for durability, aesthetics, and functionality.
Manufacturing Support:
Collaborate with manufacturing partners to transition prototypes into scalable production, ensuring quality control and compliance.
Collaborative R&D:
Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and project managers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software systems.
Product Optimization:
Continuously analyze and improve hardware designs to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and extend device lifespans.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of designs, specifications, and testing results to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
Stay Updated:
Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in IoT, sensors, and hardware design.
Requirements Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of
circuit design ,
PCB layout , and
microcontroller-based systems
(e.g., Arduino, STM32, ESP32).
Proficiency in
3D modeling tools
such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360.
Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping tools and techniques (e.g., 3D printers, CNC machines).
Familiarity with IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, LoRa, Zigbee) and sensor integration.
Knowledge of testing and validation tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and environmental testing equipment.
Understanding of materials for hardware design, including plastics, metals, and composites for enclosures.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
