About the Role As an associate actuarial analyst in Swiss Re's Life & Health Business for Hong Kong & Taiwan, you will undertake pricing work for biometric risk business, mainly focusing on mortality, critical illness, and medical reimbursement portfolio in Hong Kong and Taiwan. This involves providing timely and technically sound pricing support for existing treaties, product development, and new business tenders. Key Responsibilities Perform experience studies and pricing reviews on existing medical reimbursement treaties. Work with experience studies team to gain insight into claims and lapse experience. Support treaties review and perform assumption setting for biometric risk business. Support the pricing and modelling of new mortality, critical illness, and medical reimbursement products for product development discussions and new business tenders. Maintain documentation of all pricing work, and ensure compliance with costing guidelines and standards. Collaborate with a cross-functional team of experts from client markets, underwriting, and claims towards assessing the risks associated with a particular opportunity. Assist the establishment and review of appropriate pricing bases, methodology, and tools. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and global actuarial practices and trends. Monitor local market intelligence, trends, and developments (company, product, industry) in the biometric risk business. About the Team As part of L&H Hong Kong & Taiwan Team, the successful candidate will get to be both an individual and team contributor. The L&H pricing team of Hong Kong & Taiwan currently consists of 6 individuals based in Hong Kong. The team works closely with client managers, underwriting, and claims team to support the business development for Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. About You University graduate in Actuarial Science. Experience on pricing in primary insurers/reinsurers is preferred. Good analytical skills and ability to work well in a team. Interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Knowledge in Visual Basic or any actuarial software is a plus. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
