1. How the website works

By using www.jobrapido.com (the “Site”), managed by Jobrapido S.r.l. (“Jobrapido”), the user may access job vacancies, including both those made available by Jobrapido’s clients by means of direct feeds, and those collected through a specialized search engine which operates through locations in various Countries of the world.
This allows the User of the Site (“User”) to access the majority of the job vacancies available on the internet by means of a single platform; Users (“Registered Users”) may benefit from a series of services subject to prior registration.
Users, however, are always informed when they are re-directed to job vacancies outside the Site, both by clear view of the relevant URL and by detailed specification at the bottom of the job offer, in which the source is indicated. Jobrapido does not take responsibility as to the accuracy, truthfulness or updating of third parties’ job offers, accessed by means of the Site or the relevant Apps.

2. Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes the modalities and purposes through which Jobrapido carries out the processing of its Users’ personal data (the “data”).
This Privacy Policy is available to the Users pursuant to and in compliance with Section 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196/03 – Personal Data Protection Code (the “Privacy Code”), available at:

This Privacy Policy refers only to the Site and the processing of personal data carried out by Jobrapido, without covering the data processing operations carried out by other websites visited by the User through links, or by subjects which Jobrapido collaborates with in order to provide the services requested, or by subjects accessing the information related to the User by means of the Site or Jobrapido’s applications, for which Jobrapido takes no responsibility.

3. Data Controller

The Data Controller is Jobrapido S.r.l., with offices in via Paleocapa 7 – 20121 Milan.
The data are mainly processed at the Data Controller’s offices, within the European Union and, with respect to the services provided by third parties, also outside the European Union.

4. Modalities of data processing

The data are processed mainly by electronic, computerized and automated means, for the period of time which is strictly necessary to carry out the objective for which they were collected.
Jobrapido processes the data in compliance with the law, adopting adequate security measures able to prevent unauthorized accesses, dissemination, unauthorized alteration or destruction of the data.

5. Purposes of data processing

Users’ data will be processed exclusively for the following purposes:

a. Activation and operational management of the services Jobrapido offers to the Users and management of the respective administrative-accounting purposes;
b. Activation and operational management of the services Registered Users request to Jobrapido, including the management of the services of matching offers and applications by passing on and/or giving access to the information contained in Users’ curriculum vitae to third parties or Jobrapido’s clients or partners, and management of the respective administrative-accounting purposes;
c. Information to Registered Users, by means of email communication to the email address provided by the User, in relation to new services offered by Jobrapido similar to the ones already requested by the Registered Users;
d. Subject to the Registered User’s prior consent, marketing activities, such as the sending of invitations to various events (training, informational, promotional), as well as the sending of commercial material concerning job related matters, invitations to participate in surveys and market research activities, commercial and promotional communications concerning services and/or offers by Jobrapido. The purposes above will be carried out by automated and non-automated means (e.g. email, SMS, post, etc.).
e. Subject to the Registered User’s prior consent, marketing activities such as the sending of invitations to various events and initiatives (training, informational, promotional), the sending of informational and promotional material on products/services of the mentioned third parties, invitations to participate in surveys and market research activities, with automated and non-automated means (e.g. email, SMS, post, etc.) in relation to services and/or offers by third parties, including Jobrapido’s clients and partners;
f. Purposes connected to the fulfilment of obligations provided for by law, regulations, EU and national provisions, or deriving from orders imposed by legitimated authorities.
The marketing purposes set out in point d) and e) above are not active yet, although on their way to implementation. This is the reason why Jobrapido does not require Registered Users to give specific consent. Registered Users will be alerted via email as to the implementation of said marketing purposes and will be invited to make their choices on them.

6. Informed consent on the part of the User

With reference to the purposes under points a), b) and f) of paragraph 5 above, as they regard services requested by Users or legal obligations, the consent to the processing is unnecessary; with specific reference to point b) of paragraph 5, disclosing that the data is voluntary but the failure to provide the same data will mean it will be impossible to obtain the service requested. Furthermore, job vacancies corresponding to the information inserted by the Registered User are screened on the basis of the whole amount of information available on the same User.
With reference to the purpose under point c) of paragraph 5 above, pursuant to Section 130-bis of the Privacy Code, the consent from the Registered User is not necessary (so-called “opt-out” mechanism), but the latter may always oppose the processing. To this end, any communication concerning Jobrapido’s new services will authorize the User to refuse other similar communications.
With reference to the purposes under points d) and e) of paragraph 5 above, in order to carry out the relevant processing operations, the consent of the Registered User is required. Such consent will be required at the time of registration and may be refused at any time, also partially; to this end, the communications sent by email will give the User the possibility to refuse further sending. The consent is voluntary, and the refusal to provide said consent will prevent the User from receiving communications, promotions, offers which according to Jobrapido may be of interest for the User and useful for their professional development, without prejudice, of course, to the possibility of using the services requested.
Registered Users will be alerted as to the implementation of the marketing purposes and they will be asked to make their choice on said specific purposes.

7. Personal data undergoing processing

7.1 Web-browsing data
As all the IT systems of every website, the Site’s IT system automatically records, in the course of its normal operations, certain personal data, the transmission of which is necessary for the communication protocols of the internet. Such data consists of information such as IP addresses of the devices used by Users connecting to the Site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, time of the request, method used to transmit the request to the server, size of the file obtained as an answer, numerical code indicating the status of the answer from the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters related to the User’s operating system.
In addition to serving the purposes of the Site’s operation, said data will be used to get anonymous statistical information concerning the use of the Site and check it is operating correctly. The access data may also be used for the ascertainment of liabilities in case of IT crimes damaging the Site.
The data related to the opening of email alerts regarding new vacancies and the clicks on the links contained in such alerts are, among other data, traced for statistical purposes and for the monitoring of the Site’s activity.

7.2 Data voluntarily provided by the User
Jobrapido does not collect User’s data from external sources and limits the collection of Users’ personal data to the minimum necessary, i.e. exclusively in relation to the services expressly requested by the User, such as:

• Job Alert Service. In order to be alerted by email of new job vacancies matching the characteristics they have inserted, Users shall register – subject to prior information notice – and insert their email address, geographic area and/or professional area of the vacancies they wish to receive. The providing of such data is entirely voluntary, but is necessary to activate the Job Alert service.
The User may enter the email address manually, or they may be identified by means of the authentication service of one or more social network websites, through which the User accesses the Site and the services it provides. Through the authentication, the social network website allows access to certain information related to the User’s profile and to the information linked to the authorizations the User gives when authorizing access to Jobrapido. However, Jobrapido only uses the email address and does not record any other information except for what is strictly necessary to the technical operation of the services requested.
• Ad hoc alerts. In addition to the alerts on new vacancies, Jobrapido may send specific job offers to the Registered User. Such offers come from our partners interested in the professional profiles monitored by the Registered User.
• Uploading of the Curriculum Vitae. Subject to prior registration, Jobrapido will allow the uploading of the Curriculum Vitae on its systems, in order to allow the Registered User to access it at any given time and, subject to prior consent, share it with third parties. The Curriculum Vitae uploaded are shared both with subsidiaries associated with Jobrapido, and with Jobrapido’s clients for personnel selection purposes and to facilitate the match between job applications and offers.
• Form to apply for advertised positions. This form will allow the User to contact the advertiser who has advertised a vacancy on the Site directly, also attaching the Curriculum Vitae or other information. Jobrapido does not save the data provided through this channel, as it only processes the information which is necessary to carry out the sending requested by the vacancy advertiser.
In certain cases, Jobrapido’s third party clients (by way of example, recruitment agencies, head hunters, etc.) may be interested not only in accessing the User’s CV, but also in providing the same User with a special channel to register to the platform and/or services of said third parties. This is in order to facilitate the profession search and enhance the possibilities offered by Jobrapido. For this reason, at the time of registration to the Site, the user will be asked to specifically express whether they give their consent or prefer to reserve the right to register to said parties. These parties will in any case, have to promptly inform the User of the services offered and the respective conditions, by inviting the User to confirm or refuse the option to register. Giving consent to Jobrapido for said service is both free and voluntary and the failure to provide consent will not affect the Jobrapido’s service performance, and will only prevent the activation of the option of registration to third party websites and platforms.
Registered Users will be alerted by email as to the activation of the “Uploading of the Curriculum Vitae” service and of other services, which may be implemented by Jobrapido.

8. Cookies

A cookie is a small size file which a website sends to the browser and saves on your computer when you visit a website. Cookies are used in order to allow or enhance the websites operation, but also to provide us with information on the Site.’
The Site uses different kinds of cookies and similar technologies, each one with a specific function, as indicated below:

8.1 Web browsing cookies
These cookies are essential to allow the User to browse the Site and use its functions, such as accessing the website’s reserved areas (authentication cookies). Without these kind of cookies the services requested, such as access to the reserved area, cannot be provided. These cookies which are strictly necessary, are used to record one single identifier in order to manage and identify the User with respect to other Users visiting the Site at the same time, providing the User with a consistent and precise service. These cookies are necessary for the Site to work properly.

8.2 Performance and analytics cookies set by Jobrapido
These cookies may be used by Jobrapido for the purposes of performance and improving the website. These cookies gather information about how users use the website, which pages are visited for example, and allows Jobrapido to recognise users, trace online behaviour and identify which features of the website are of most interest to users.

8.3 Third party analytics cookies
These cookies are used by Google Analytics for example, Google Adwords, Google Doubleclick, Criteo, Facebook, Connexity in order to carry out statistical analyses of how users use our website using computers or mobile devices, such as how many pages a user has visited or the number of mouse clicks made on a page while using the website. The data obtained from this analysis by Jobrapido is used exclusively for statistical purposes and only if the service provider uses cookies in connection with the web browser installed on your computer or on other devices used for accessing the Site. 8.4 Targeting cookies
This type of cookie is used for personalising information of a commercial nature based on the interests of the user. This type of cookie may also be used for limiting the number of times an advertisement is displayed and to help measure the effectiveness of online marketing campaigns. These cookies store information from visits to websites and the information may be shared with other parties, such as advertising companies for example. Even though this type of cookie is able to record visits to other websites, usually these cookies do not contain any information that can personally identify the user. The use of these cookies may create a connection to your computer or other device used by the User by tracking the information stored in it: these cookies connect to the User's browser during the navigation of the Website and allow for the recording of user behaviour and sending of advertising messages in line with your online preferences.
We may also insert web beacons (GIFT or web bugs) into our emails in order to verify the opening of advertising emails and clicks on links contained within them.

9. Jobrapido App

This Privacy Policy also applies to the processing of personal data carried out by Jobrapido by means of the Jobrapido smartphone dedicated app (“App”) which, when downloaded and subject to prior registration, allows Users to access Jobrapido’s search engine in order to find job vacancies advertised by companies, both Jobrapido’s clients and companies located throughout the world, and in general to activate and execute the services requested by Users, and the activities connected to them for the purposes indicated above.
The data collected by the App, by way of direct download by the User, may include the name, email address, certain pieces of information related to the device (e.g. IP address), to the operating system used, to the position of the device, and Users will be specifically asked to consent to this Privacy Policy in order to complete the download.
In order to use the service offered by the App the User may be asked to provide their name, surname, and email address by means of the registration form. Only subject to the User’s prior consent, will the user’s home address and email address be used for the sending of promotional and commercial communications. Such purposes are still on their way to implementation. The User will be alerted when the marketing purposes indicated (to be carried out in the specified ways) will be pursued and they will be invited to make a choice regarding them. However, Jobrapido has the possibility of sending, to the email address provided by the User, informational/promotional communications on new services offered by Jobrapido which are similar to the ones requested or used by Users. This activity does not require the express consent by the User, although the latter has the right to oppose the use of their data for marketing purposes at any time.
The App may also use certain pieces of information automatically generated during its use, in order to elaborate statistics on an anonymous basis and carry out the necessary operations to improve the App’s functions and the security of the platform providing the services.
The App, however, does not require either the GPS coordinates of the device, which will be collected only if the User has activated the relevant setting on their device, or the User’s credit card number, nor does the App access any information contained in the calendar, agenda or list of contacts of the device.
The App will retain the User’s information for the period of time strictly necessary to provide support to the App’s services and functions, unless a longer retention period is requested or allowed by law.

10. Communication of data to third parties

The data provided by the User and those collected by the Site in providing the services (e.g. IP address) won’t be disseminated and may be disclosed, even abroad in Countries outside the EU, exclusively for the purposes and procedures indicated above, to the following categories of persons and entities:

• subsidiaries and associated companies which Jobrapido belongs to and third parties, Jobrapido’s clients for administrative-accounting purposes pursuant to Section 24, par. 1 lett. i-ter of the Privacy Code, for personnel selection purposes, to facilitate the match between job applications and offers, subject to prior consent for marketing purposes;
• contractors, consultants or professionals providing technical or organizational services to Jobrapido (e.g. IT service providers), or who collaborate with Jobrapido, for the correct provision and working of its services or for marketing activities;
• individuals, companies, or professional firms providing assistance and advice to Jobrapido, in relation, without limitation, to accounting, administrative, legal, tax and financial matters;
• parties authorized to access the data by law or authorities’ orders.
The persons and entities indicated above will process the data in their capacity as independent data controllers pursuant to applicable law or as Data Processors. The list of the names of the subjects to which the data are or may be communicated is available at Jobrapido.
Jobrapido relies on the cooperation of certain partners to show advertisements concerning Jobrapido on third parties’ websites and to allow partner advertisement networks to show vacancies on the basis of User preferences. Such vacancies may take into account the fact that the User is registered to Jobrapido or has visited the Site. The identification on the part of such partners is carried out by means of a cookie and by sharing with them the above-described Jobrapido’s cookie. No other Data is shared with such partners.
In specific cases Jobrapido provides the User’s email address in encrypted form (hashing) to social media, in order to carry out analyses and statistical elaborations on the social networks’ users for marketing purposes.

11. Data retention

To guarantee that data are always updated, Jobrapido may also deactivate the account in the case of non-prolonged use, in compliance with company procedures, it being understood that the User may register again at any time.

12. Persons in charge of the processing and Data processors (third party services)

The data will be processed by Jobrapido’s employees and/or professionals, carrying out their activities in their capacity as persons in charge of the processing, under the direct supervision and responsibility of Jobrapido.
Jobrapido avails itself of third party services, regularly appointed as Data Processors for this purpose. The list of the Data Processors is available at Jobrapido.

13. Users’ rights

Section 7 of the Privacy Code authorizes the User, in their capacity as data subject (i.e. the natural person whose data are processed), to exercise specific rights.
In particular, the User has the right to obtain:

(i) the confirmation as to the existence of data concerning them, even if not recorded yet, and the communication of the same data in intelligible form;
(ii) the indication of the origin of the data, purposes and modalities of the processing, subjects and categories of subjects to which the data may be communicated or which may get to know the data in their capacity as representatives in the State’s territory, as data processors, or persons in charge of the processing;
(iii) updating, rectification or, where interested therein, integration of the data;
(iv) erasure, transformation into anonymous form, or blocking of data that have been processed unlawfully.
A data subject shall have the right to object, in whole or in part, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning him or her for commercial information, advertising, marketing or market research purposes.

14. Amendments to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be amended by Jobrapido, in order to take into account the relevant legislative developments, the technological progress, and the changes in Jobrapido’s activities or the introduction of new services.
Should this be the case, Jobrapido will provide extensive information on the Site as to the publication of an amended and integrated version of the Privacy Policy. We encourage Users to check whether any such information is provided on the Site.
In the case that the amendments are particularly relevant, Jobrapido may communicate them to the User via a different channel (e.g. by sending an email).
